Georgie Magazine is looking to collaborate with the Old Strathcona district.  As a local publication that features Fashion, beauty, music and art, we feel compelled to support and draw attention to local boutiques and businesses and to promote shopping local.  Georgie has recently become a Live Local member and with that we’ve taken a deeper look into what it really means: Live local.

Our mission, from the beginning, has been to connect and inspire.  With that said, we’d like to do what we do best, which is to create visually stunning work to grace the pages of our publication with the original intent in tact.  In this issue we are featuring a fashion spread with all items pulled from stores on the avenue, in hopes to inspire our readers to take a stroll and see what shopping local has to offer!

To further the impact and draw attention to the avenue, we thought we’d offer discounts on ads in our summer issue!  It would be great to increase the presence of local boutiques, clothing stores, restaurants and bars within the publication along side the Whyte avenue feature.

We appreciate all of the support we’ve received over the last year and we would be excited to do this project in hopes that it gives something back to the city!
